infrastructure. Vulnerable groups such as women, people with disabilities, and
out-of-school youth are particularly affected. These regions in western Tanzania face several
socio-economic challenges, including:

Unemployment Rates: Limited job opportunities, particularly affecting youth and
unskilled workers.

Barriers: Many young people are unable to complete their education due to
financial constraints and inadequate educational infrastructure.

Marginalization: Women and people with disabilities often face discrimination
and lack access to economic opportunities.

Access to Financial Services: Rural areas have minimal access to banking
services, hindering financial inclusion and growth.

Components Vocational
Training Centers Establish vocational training centers
in each region to offer practical skills training to individuals who have not
graduated from school or are unable to complete their education in carpentry, tailoring, mechanics,
agriculture and ICT.
Girls Fast
Food Academy Launch a specialized academy to
provide girls with skills in cooking, snacks baking, hospitality, customer
care, fruit processing, and business marketing.
Combine theoretical knowledge with
hands-on experience to ensure comprehensive skill development.
ICT and BDS
Training for People with Disabilities Provide training in Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) and Business Development Services (BDS) to
people with disabilities.
Enhance their employability and
entrepreneurial capabilities.
Provision
of Start-Up Kits Supply vocational training graduates
with essential start-up kits to help them establish their own businesses or
secure employment.

relevant to their field of training. Create and maintain networks to assist
vocational training graduates in finding employment opportunities.
Activities: Job fairs, employer partnerships, and
online job portals.
Village
& Community Banks (VICOBA) Organize and support economic support
groups exclusively for women and people with disabilities in rural areas.
Provide micro-loans, savings options, and
financial training to enhance economic stability and growth.
Marketing
and Promotional Conduct marketing campaigns to raise
awareness about the vocational training programs and the Girls Fast Food
Academy through Local media, community events, and social
media platforms.
Business
Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship Training Offer training programs for women and
people with disabilities in business management, marketing, and
entrepreneurship.
Establish an accelerator to support
the development and growth of social enterprises within the region through mentorship, funding opportunities, and
business development resources.
Run after-school and weekend ICT clubs
for primary and secondary school students in the surrounding communities.
